Creating
The arts are the continuous display of the very best of humanity. Now, more than ever, artists are needed to envision and enact a sane and compassionate world. Performing artists practice embodied presence, aesthetics, and social creativity. They challenge limiting beliefs, spark inspiration, and celebrate communities.
In Oct 2026 Otterbein University will host an exhibition of painting by Presencing Institute artist and generative scriber, Olaf Baldini. Olaf paints frequently during Social Presencing Theater courses and events. His work refines our perceptions and adds depth to meaning-making and learning.
Can we form troupes of artists who create Social Presencing Theater events that combine performance, visual art, and dialogue?
Learning
Wouldn’t it be amazing to see Social Presencing Theater in schools and universities, so that our educational institutions emphasize and cultivate the quality of relationships and the courage to engage in the challenges that loom large both now and in the future?
Being Together curriculum has been developed over the past ten years at the intersection of social arts, Social Presencing Theater, and awareness-based design. Through collaborations across schools, universities, and community contexts, these approaches have introduced embodied and co-creative practices that support relational awareness, collective sense-making, and new ways of learning together.
Healing
Experiencing our current reality clearly and letting the body lead us to fresh possibilities is a healing journey that we apply to the “three divides” – the disconnection between people and nature, between people and people, and between our habitual sense of ourselves and our fully wakeful selves.
Are there partners working in the environmental, social and spiritual disciplines who would join our explorations and discoveries.
